Building for coastal exposure
Worthing's proximity to the sea means salt-laden wind reaches most gardens in the town, and it is harder on cheap finishes than people expect: mild steel fixings corrode, untreated softwood cladding greys and splits early, and cheap sealed units fail sooner.
We specify stainless or marine-grade fixings, a cladding species suited to coastal weathering, and glazing rated for the exposure, so the building still looks right after ten winters facing the Channel.
